Biography
Although every case is different and the possible results depend on the specific set of facts for each case, Mr. Zurita's successes include obtaining approval of a withholding of removal application for a client who had previously been convicted of numerous previous offenses, such as four separate drinking and driving offenses, charge for drug possession, voluntary departure, and previous deportation.
Additionally, Mr. Zurita has extensive experience with the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) and the U.S. Department of State. He has successfully guided applications for temporary protected status, naturalization, immigration waivers, special immigrant juvenile status, adjustment of status and change of status through USCIS for family-based immigration cases. He has worked with the U.S. consulates and embassies assisting clients to legally immigrate into the United States; this includes ensuring that his clients' rights are protected and that USCIS officers treat them respectfully and fairly. Mr. Zurita is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Born in New York and raised in Ecuador, Mr. Zurita is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese. Having lived and worked abroad, Mr. Zurita has experience working with people from around the world.
